Keenan & Madeline | Palmer Park Engagement Photos
Colorado Springs, CO
Some couples walk into your life and immediately leave it brighter than they found it. Keenan and Madeline are exactly those kinds of people.
From the very first moment you meet them, you can’t help but feel the joy they radiate. They love the Lord deeply, pursue the people around them with intentionality, and genuinely delight in life together. Photographing their Colorado Springs engagement session wasn’t just another shoot on my calendar — it was a true honor and a celebration of a love story that has been years in the making.
From Friendship to Forever
I’ve known Keenan for several years, long before his life intertwined with Madeline’s in the most beautiful way. During the height of COVID, when Zoom calls replaced dinner tables and friendships found new ways to thrive, Madeline joined a group call with a bunch of our friends. Even through a screen, it was obvious — she was someone special.
There was an ease about her, a warmth that made everyone feel seen and welcomed. As their relationship grew, it became clear that these two weren’t just falling in love — they were building something deeply rooted in faith, friendship, and joy.
Their love story spans from Michigan to Colorado, shaped by seasons of waiting, distance, prayer, and trust. And now, here they are — planning a future together in one of the most breathtaking places in the country.

Why Colorado Springs Is Perfect for Engagement Photos
Colorado Springs is one of my absolute favorite locations for engagement sessions, and Keenan and Madeline’s shoot was the perfect reminder of why. With beautiful mountain views, golden light, and an incredible variety of outdoor scenery, it offers the ideal backdrop for couples who want photos that feel natural, timeless, and full of life.
This session was everything I love about Colorado Springs engagement photography:
- Open spaces that allow couples to move, laugh, and be themselves
- Natural light that highlights genuine emotion
- Scenery that enhances the story without overpowering it
Whether you’re drawn to mountain overlooks, grassy fields, or super great rock formations, engagement sessions in Colorado Springs offer something truly special — especially for couples who value connection over stiff posing.
A Session That Felt Like Them
Keenan and Madeline didn’t need much direction (no surprise!). Their joy is effortless. The way Keenan looks at Madeline — with admiration and gratitude — and the way she lights up around him made this session feel less like a photoshoot and more like an evening spent celebrating their story.
We focused on movement, laughter, and quiet moments in between. Engagement photos should never feel forced, and this Colorado Springs engagement session was the perfect example of what happens when couples are fully present with one another.
These are the moments I love capturing:
- The in-between glances
- The soft smiles when no one is “trying”
- The laughter that spills out naturally
Those moments tell the real story — and they’re the ones couples cherish long after the wedding day has passed.

What Makes Colorado Springs Engagement Sessions So Meaningful
Engagement sessions are about more than photos for save-the-dates or wedding websites (though those are FOR SURE great perks!). They’re an opportunity to slow down, celebrate your season of engagement, and get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.
For couples considering a Colorado Springs engagement session, here’s why they’re so impactful:
- You get images that reflect who you are right now
- You experience what it’s like to be photographed in a relaxed, pressure-free environment
- You create space to simply enjoy being engaged
Keenan and Madeline embraced that fully — and it shows in every image.
A Love Story Still Being Written
From their Michigan roots to their new life in Colorado, Keenan and Madeline’s story is one of trust, joy, and intentional love. Photographing this chapter of their lives was such a gift, and I’m endlessly grateful to call them not just clients, but dear friends.
Their Colorado Springs engagement session is a reminder of why I do what I do — to tell stories that matter, to document love honestly, and to preserve moments that will one day be looked back on with gratitude and joy.
