Tristan & Meghan | A Rustic Palmer Lake Wedding in the Colorado Foothills

Tristan and Meghan are MARRIED!!
Their wedding was on a sunny September afternoon near Palmer Lake, surrounded by mountains and a whole lot of people who were overjoyed to celebrate with them. From the moment guests started arriving, the air was filled with joyous anticipation. Everyone clearly loved this sweet couple and couldn't wait to celebrate them!
I remember meeting Meghan for the first time in person and thinking "WOW she is beautiful!!" Her smile lights up the room, and she truly strikes me as one of those down-to-earth, super fun and super authentic types of people. She radiates joy without trying, and it’s obvious that’s just who she is. She pairs so well with Tristan, who is so calm, creative, and steady. They clearly go together like peanut butter and jelly or bagels and cream cheese =)
A Rustic, Bohemian Wedding with the sweetest details
Meghan planned the entire wedding herself, and you could see her touch in each and every detail. The wedding had a rustic, bohemian vibe that felt intentional without feeling overdone. Everything was beautiful, but in a wild, whimsical way— nothing was overly curated or perfected. It was relaxed, intentional, and full of personality, which seems to reflect this sweet couple's personality so well.
Meghan, a hairstylist with a stellar eye for detail, brought creativity and whimsy to the day, while Tristan, a videographer, clearly understands how meaningful storytelling really is. Together, that combo made the day feel aesthetically lovely while still feeling relaxed.

a worshipful ceremony
The ceremony took place in the late afternoon, when the light started to turn golden. It was clear throughout the entire thing that Tristan and Meghan deeply love the Lord, as does their community. There was a sense of reverence in the air as their loved ones joined them in worship.
Family and friends gathered close, clearly thrilled to witness the long anticipated union finally happening. There’s something incredibly moving about being surrounded by people who aren’t just attending a wedding, but truly celebrating a couple. The support for Tristan and Meghan was evident in every hug, every smile, and every laugh. Their friends and family showed up with full hearts — cheering them on, praying over them, and celebrating the couple with genuine excitement.
That kind of community shapes a wedding day in a powerful way. It creates an atmosphere that feels warm and steady, where joy abounds and emotions are felt fully. Those are the days that feel less like an event and more like a milestone shared together.

Why Days Like This Matter
Weddings like Tristan and Meghan’s are a reminder of why I love this work. It’s not just about photographing beautiful settings or meaningful details (though that's super fun too!) — it’s about documenting commitment, joy, community, faith, and the beginning of a shared life.
As a Colorado Springs wedding photographer, I love documenting weddings throughout the Front Range, especially days that feel as personal and joy-filled as this one. It means being trusted to observe quietly, to notice the in-between moments, and to come alongside couples to celebrate a season that will never look exactly like this again.
Tristan and Meghan, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful day. Your wedding was filled with beauty, intention, and joy, and I’m so grateful to have witnessed the beginning of your lives together.
